About Monika Sharma

Monika Sharma is the Founder of jiTalent venture. She is born and brought up in Chandigarh, India and completed her schooling from Chandigarh itself, and did her Masters in Computer Applications from Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, an elite institute in India, in 2010. She then spent few years working with a MNC company, Packet Video. But the calling of her dreams was so loud that she dropped her high paying job and started preparing the blueprint of jiTalent, an online job and training portal for bridging the gap between employers and job seekers.

When and how did she start jitalent?

JiTalent job and training portal is the result of a vision to help SME’s to get FREE access to a talent pool to fulfill their hiring requirements as they are not much financially sound. The main idea is to bring employers and job seekers on a common platform so they can benefit each other and eradicate the problem of unemployment. Monika has a dream to do something good for the youth and she came up with an idea of making a job portal which can inform about jobs and industrial trainings to the students and allow them to apply for the same. She wants to bring a change in that section of society where people undergo depression if they are not able to grab a job. With the advent of smart phones and tablets, this idea has more value, as it can reach to people in remote areas also. SME’s also can hire talented people for their business for free by using jiTalent.

About Team

Monika Sharma, Founder of jiTalent, runs a team of 85+ hard working, skilled and experienced employees at present with a vision to enlighten the career of the youth. Although being an entrepreneur she is involved in several other businesses, but jiTalent is one of her best invention till date. She had completed her Masters in Computer Applications from Thapar University in Patiala, Punjab. With her employee management skills, hard work and dedication, the team size has increased from nowhere to 85+ within just 4 years.

Challenges faced by Monika while setting up jiTalent

Now-a-days job and training sector is on a boom as most of the entrepreneurs are focusing on making a job portal and earning money from the employers as well as job seekers. But lack of unemployment leads people to pay any price to get a job. JiTalent faced that challenge of branding. But with hard-work, teamwork and determination to achieve excellence, Monika and team continue to improve and evolve their job search and posting system. Also jiTalent do not charge anything neither from the employers nor from the job seekers which is a unique feature. This feature attracts many SME’s to fulfill their hiring needs that results in our branding and growth. A team of qualified developers and testers and a world class infrastructure is the key for successful working of jiTalent.

Current position and future plans

Our current position is very good as a large number of SMEs have opted us to fulfill their hiring needs that will help them to grow. They can access a pool of talent free of cost. We do not charge anything from anybody unlike other job portals gaining momentum in the market. With the advent of smart phones, tablets and Internet connectivity anybody can apply for suitable posts even from the remote places also.

JiTalent is an open platform for talented people to showcase their talent and grab a job of their choice without spending a single penny. The main idea is to overcome and improve the traditional concept of job consultancy services in which the consultant charges a fix amount of money to get your desired job. JiTalent’s main aim is to help SME’s to resolve their needs of best talent to grow their businesses.
