Q. Please introduce yourself!

Sheshgiri Kamath co-founded Adjetter in 2011 along with Vikas Garg and Pearl Tewari. This startup transformed into Kapture CRM in 2014. Prior to that, he was involved with via.com in a global role across India and South-East Asia and had stints with ITC and Manipal group.

A commercial pilot by education, Football happens to be his big passion after sales. He believes that his recent role as a father has brought a lot of interesting perspective to his entrepreneurial mindset, especially after 9 years into the journey.

When and How did you think about “Kapture CRM”?

Sheshgiri Kamath (CEO), Vikas Garg (CTO), and Pearl Tewari (VP) started Adjetter, a platform for offline marketing automation. That product didn’t take off due to various reasons. However, instead of giving up, the team pivoted into a CRM platform with a focus on automation.

In 2014, Kapture launched as a standalone CRM. Today, 5 years, 500+ customers and 12 countries later, Kapture continues to be the preferred choice of growing enterprises looking for a transformation CRM experience.

Q. From whom you got inspiration to start Kapture CRM and who is your mentor?

Our customers, partners, team members are our greatest mentors and advisers.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Punjab University and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Wales.

Convincing the founding team was not tough since everyone was very clear about the need to be an-entrepreneur. The time, idea and the team was right and we started up!

Vikas heads technology and the ops teams. Pearl takes care of Marketing & international sales while Shesh works on business development and strategic initiatives

Q. Explain more about Kapture CRM, what makes you special and How you think is it different from others?

Kapture is a SaaS based CRM software that is currently helping 500+ clients in more than 12 countries. Kapture is the only CRM that offers Service Center, Field Automation, and Call Center Management on a single platform. I think this makes Kapture unique.

We also do all the customization in-house without involving any third-party. So from implementation to customization, everything is done under one roof that gives more clarity to us and our clients and this makes us special.

Q. What challenges did you face while setting up Kapture CRM”? How did you overcome?

Signing up our first few clients in the US and international markets was a huge challenge. Being an overseas startup with no feet on street or brand recall, we struggled to get meetings. We tried emails, calls, LinkedIn and what not. However, we kept iterating.

Today, 30% of our revenue comes from the US market and we hope to grow it to over 50% in 18 months.

Q. What’s the Current Path, Kapture CRM‘s Funding Status and What are the Future plans?

We are expanding to the Philippines by opening an office there. We already have offices in the U.S. and Singapore. We are also planning to acquire more international customers and also ramping up the international sales team.
